“I’m not crazy!!” Dib screamed, desperately trying to plead his case. “Let me go!!” The boy struggled to get free but to no avail.
The two nurses held firmly to the distressed and thrashing child. Another man wrapped the corpse of the dog in a blanket. "We'll have him buried in the pet cemetery." He stated to the boy, hoping it would ease his mind a bit.

Chapter Eighteen
Light golden rays from the morning sun shone into the living room window the next morning. Dib woke up peacefully, taking in a deep breath and slowly opening his eyes and blinking a few times as they adjusted to the bright light. After a few minutes or so, he looked down to his little companion who was still sleeping peacefully on his chest, making him smile. He eventually made the decision to wake Einstein, shaking him lightly. The puppy, however, refused to wake up just yet and covered his face with his paw.
Dib chuckled, then took this time to observe the messy environment around him. The night had been peaceful…

Dib’s eyes widened in shock at the split second where Zim’s old self had just flashed across his face. His jaw gaped as those words rung mercilessly through his head, and he could honestly admit to himself that those words were sincere. It was then that he had the sudden desire to help the suffering Irken rather than fight him and try to rid himself of him for good. A moment later, the boy grabbed hold of the Irken’s arms and pulled him towards his chest before standing. “I’ll… try, Zim..” He whispered before running downstairs and screaming at the computer. “Help me fix him!
